Lori Novack-Carafello, BS, CHES Major: Health Education, Class of 2012 Position: Certified Market Navigator-ACA Navigator Program Agency: Urban League of Morris County Lori works at the center of one of the most important and historic public policy changes of the 21st century – the Affordable Care Act. As a marketplace navigator, Lori conducts educational programs focusing on increasing the public’s understanding of the available ACA programs and consumer protection laws. Lori uses her undergraduate training in coalition-building, health counseling, program planning, health research, and health advocacy to assist consumers navigate the system to select affordable health care plans that meet their individual needs. Lori routinely works with local, state, and federal agencies and has received specialized training and certification from the US Department of Health and Human Services. (October, 2014)
